Response

In the first photo, I see an oil panting while in the second photo I see a photoshopped image. they both have a red background which gives a different meaning to each photo.

1) In the first photo the mood is definitely serious. She is staring off into the distance while the artist painted her image. The second photo almost seems risqué. The image doesn't show any visible clothing and she is almost looking at the camera in a seductive way.

2) The first image looks like an oil painting because of the background. The background of the first images is something that could be easily accomplished with oil paints. The second image is definitely photoshopped though. Again, the background gives it away. It is very hard to make a gradient like the on in the second image's background with oil paints.

3) The background color really sets the mood for each photo. Albeit, the redish background sets different moods for each image. In the first image it helps set the serious tone, while in the second image it really brings out a more seductive/risqué mood.

4) In the first image, I think the artist was looking to evoke a serious response. The artist accomplished this very well, he used the pose of the woman and the colors to make the image look and feel serious. The second image almost seems to be trying to evoke a more emotional feeling about women. The artist accomplished this very well by the part of the woman he photographed and how the woman was looking at the camera.
